Elections by the Federal Board to committees of the Federal Party

Internal elections to our Party’s Committees now enter their second round. As agreed by Party Conference in Autumn 2016, there are three Party Committees whose membership is elected by the Federal Board, given the specialised nature of the work involved. Two of these, the Federal Finance and Resources Committee (FFRC) and the Federal People Development Committee (FPDC), are open for any Party member to be nominated to.

Party members require nominations from two members of either the outgoing Federal Executive (see its membership here) or the incoming Federal Board (here).

In addition to the two committees above, a number of other positions are also up for election. The full list of positions is below:

Registered Treasurer, who shall be the Chair of the FFRC
Party Treasurer, who shall be responsible for fundraising
Chair of the Campaign for Gender Balance (CGB)
two Vice Chairs of the CGB
five members of the FFRC
six members of the FPDC
two representatives on the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) Congress
two representatives on the Liberal International Executive
two representatives to the Liberal International Congress
four members of the standing Specified Associated Orangisations (SAO) Review Group

The following positions are also open for nominations, but party members are advised that these positions are only open to members of the Federal Board:

two Vice Chairs of the Federal Board
two members of the FCEC
one representative on the Federal Conference Committee (FCC)
one representative on the Federal International Relations Committee (FIRC)

Nominations will close at 12 noon on Tuesday 31st January 2017.
